Tracy Haines was raised in Omaha, Nebraska, studied medicine at the University of Texas in Houston, and now lives with her husband and three children in Littleton, CO.  Predominately self-taught, she has studied art at the Denver Art Students League and in various workshops.  Her unique style is growing in popularity, and her work has been displayed at numerous fine-art events in Colorado.

"As far back as I can remember, I've always been enthralled by the beauty of ordinary scenes, which are never really ordinary.   This is reflected in my preference to paint on location.  For this purpose, living in Colorado is my great good fortune.  My artistic goal is to reveal the ways in which light and shade continuously transform and reveal the beauty in everything we see."

Tracy is also a self-taught musician, playing bass guitar, piano and flute. "It's interesting, the way that music informs art and art seems to propel playing into expanded territories.
